WELCOME
(Please complete your Gold Welcome Card at this time so it is ready to place in the offering plate later. Please put all gold cards, completed or not, into the offering plate.)

PRELUDE & SILENT MEDITATION
"The more I called them, the more they went from me. "
Hosea 11:1
This is the day that the Lord has made! Might I be the person
who hears his call for the life that I live!

*CALL TO WORSHIP
One:  Yet it was I who taught Ephraim/Israel to walk.
All:    Sometimes, we walk with the Lord.
One:  Sometimes in exuberance, we run with the Lord.
All:    Sometimes, we crawl with the Lord.
Unison:   But at all times, we want to be facing forward
faithfully recognizing the one who is beside us and
leading us onward.

*HYMN                      "When We Walk With The Lord"              544

STORY SERMON

SHARING OUR OFFERINGS & TITHES
"The sword rages in their cities, it consumes their oracle-priests,
and devours because of their schemes."
Nothing unusual when sword and self dominates our lives.
But imagine the Savior and saved being dominated by the
Divine!  Then the real sharing of life can happen!  That sharing
can happen now. Jesus loves us this we know, let our love for
others now show.

CHALLENGE FOR LIVING
One:  They shall go after the Lord, who roars like a lion.
All:    When we hear the roar of a lion, we are running away!
One:  But the roar can be from a mother or father lion calling
their children home.
All:    Perhaps we will listen then.
One:  And having listened to the roar of love…
All:    Might we seek to faithfully live in that love.
